The 3 Desires of Man

(video of me getting seriously hurt)

Every young man desires 3 things.

  1. To accumulate riches

  2. To attract women

  3. To be able to inflict pain over another man (capacity to defend oneself)

Many have achieved the first two, but few can say they truly have mastered the third.

This is why we see many internet entrepreneurs suddenly becoming boxxers.

The desire is strong, but the execution is weak. For show. For illusion.

You’re not fooling a 4th degree, JJJ or BJJ Blackbelt with your little jabs and right hooks.

You’re powerless in this realm.

I’d like to clarify, there is a difference between those who train seriously, years, daily, putting in the sweat and work.

I have a high amount of respect for someone like Jake Paul. Or anyone for that matter that has taken combat as seriously as him.

The people I am calling out are the “boxxers”.

They make some money online, get a following, and then all the sudden throw some pads on and a few weeks later post on instagram and all the sudden you’re “fighting”.

I know this archetype because this was me.

For a guy making even just $20k a month online, a private martial arts trainer is no crazy fee. I was paying a guy $150 per session. Getting in the gym. Smacking bob around. And looking cool for the gram. Bitches love the gram.

Me, being a pretty IG boxxing bitch 💅

Several months later after I started doing my cute boxxing thing.

I met and befriended Jesse Catalano.

Jesse is a 4th degree jiu jitsu black belt.

He invited me and my friend Jack to train with him to learn some jj.

And this is when I quickly realized how stupid I was being.

Above: Jesse (left) demonstrating to Jack (on his back) about 41 ways to inflict massive pain to him, injure him, or possibly even kill him within a matter of seconds.

Through a little sparring, observing, and listening, I just had this realization.

If I encountered a Jesse in a dark ally.

My instagram boxxing skills meant absolutely nothing.

Someone like Jesse has been training Jiu Jitsu since he was 3 years old.

Jesse, at 3 years old

Jesse receiving Black Belt 15 years ago.

He entered the Dojo at 3 years old.

He could break a grown man’s wrist by 13 years old.

The dojo was his home all this time.

At the age of 33, with a 4th degree black belt and 30 years of experience.

At 33, many men have received their divine calling.

I believe, at 33, this is now Jesse’s calling.

So, I invited Jesse to speak to my group on our weekly meeting.

Here’s what happened.

So, my point in sharing this with you is that there are levels to self defense.

Now, I posted this on Instagram yesterday and of course there were some haters.

Most of the h8trs arguing that if Jesse got in the ring with Islam Makhachev that Jesse would stand no chance.

Well to that I’d probably say, yeah no shit? Who in the world would?

The point of this post is not to say that Jesse is the most dangerous man in the world.

It’s to show that YOU are probably way less equipped to handle an attack than you would care to imagine.

And that getting in a Dojo would probably help you out.

And tbh I don’t knock anyone showing their journey on gram.

I’ll probably continue to do so.

The point is, realize where you stand on the hierarchy.

And let that be your motivation to get better.

You never know when you might need it.
