Hope you’re well! Happy Friday.
Had a Friendsgiving last night. Was fun. Good people and good food.
I was in a debate with a very philosophical debate with a friend about Delusion vs Truth.
So, today is going to be a conclusion from that convo - I created this simple 4 step process so that you can see clearly through the fog of delusion.
Part 1: Total Delusion

Most people are shackled like this: "I think money, the right relationship, status and power will make me happy."
They place all their awareness on these external things in the world. They shackle themselves to them. They lose their soul in them.
This is where most new guys are when they first taste making money online, traveling, getting status and attention from guys they respect and from women. When you think external circumstances will bring you peace and fulfillment - rather than enjoying them without losing yourself in them - here, you are the furthest from Truth.
In fact, people here couldn’t be further from Truth.
These things - Money, validation, TV shows or movies, even drugs and alcohol and food provide short term instant spikes of positive emotions or sensations which makes people intoxicated by them. They make an idol out of these things because they think they will bring them happiness and peace, and they give their attention to it.
These people typically avoid self development or things like scripture. The ancient scriptures & self help do not provide instant gratification. They point to a more disciplined path, and point your awareness in reverse.
However... many land in the camp of religious delusion.
Part 2: Religious Delusion

Here's what I perceive many religious people to be doing: The problem arises when a person's mind fuses their self-concept, their identity, with the belief about their book, which makes it very hard to access the deeper layer Jesus calls the "single eye." In other words, the "light" of awareness becomes tangled in their identity of "I’m the one who is right."
The Bible and the other Holy scriptures themselves are not the Truth.
The scriptures are only pointers to Truth. Sign posts. Even though Jesus says "the scriptures testify about Me," the book itself is not Truth - it is a pointer to Truth. Thinking the book is the Truth can still shackle people.
In my view, respectfully, many sincere religious people unknowingly find comfort in the feeling and certainty that comes from belief.
But look - if you’re here, you’re operating at the level of mind and emotion, not the deeper layer that's closer to Truth.
The conviction in the Bible gives your self-concept something to stand on. Your self-concept naturally wants to keep reinforcing the identity of a person who knows their book is true, and it loops there because that role feels safe, solid, and certain. And not to mention "in the tribe" of other believers.
This is why people of different religions think we are light years away, because they are operating from this paradigm. This is the fallacy that keeps us seemingly so separate.
From my view however, we are all so close. If we all would just take the book as a pointer back to the silent place of awareness where God’s light is received before any belief about an outward thing or doctrine forms.
Many well-meaning religious people stop at this stage. This is where the Pharisees got stuck – when Scripture becomes an idol. So what is Truth?
Truth is God - No, not “a man in the sky,” but the living source your awareness is made from. Belief about God is not God Himself. Jesus didn’t point people to belief; He pointed them to direct experience.
Part 3: The Beginning of Awakening
Ask these questions in the quietness of your mind:
Is it possible for your mind to stop thinking and making claims about this post? What is left if there are no thoughts?
What is this ‘thoughtless, silent watcher’ that notices your thoughts before you form a belief?
How come the ‘self construct’ continuously tries to explain everything with words and beliefs, while what I’m pointing you too is unable to make claims with words but simply and only observes?
If thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light… Could the ‘single eye’ be the silent awareness that shines light on your thoughts, experiences, senses…

Stop thinking about the outer world for a moment.
Ask: Is it possible for your mind to stop thinking and making claims about my situation, religion, life, wants? What is left of me now if there are no thoughts?
Find the silent observer. The lamp of the body. The single eye.
This is how you go deeper than the mind / thoughts / dogmatic belief.
Here, awareness begins to turn toward the silent observer - the place Jesus calls "the lamp of the body." You begin experimenting with turning your awareness back in on itself. Resisting the urge to attach to self-concept. The ego experiences moments of dissolution. The self construct feels uneasy and threatened.
Part 4: Awakening

No thoughts. No emotions. No senses.
Can you be awareness being aware of awareness itself?
This is Truth. The portal access to God.
This is single eye awareness.
When this single eye awareness connects directly to God - the silent observer, the lamp of the body – you receive truth directly. This is what Christian mystics called "union" – not through belief, but through direct knowing.
The Grand Perspective from God
This silent observer is a lil piece of God. God is in you, but you are not God. We are all made in God's image. Some of us get lost in delusion. Getting lost in delusion causes pain. Pain directs us back inward beyond senses and mind. We find our way home.
"The kingdom of God is within you."
God's grace allows you to have the instinct to look not in the world for Truth, but back at Him. Yes there are things in the world that seem to create sensations and waves of peace - nature, beautiful art, poetry, people. But only because thsoe things energetically point you back inward.
God is always there with us, but we run from God by placing our awareness away from Him into our emotions and thoughts.
When you make the grand effort to turn away from thoughts and emotions and judgements back toward God, and you reach the silent observer, the lamp of the body, all things are known.
You no longer need belief. You simply know the Truth.
That’s all.
Hope this clarified some things for you!
if so dm me on ig your thoughts
