How to Buy a Plane
Onward and Upward.

Hey.
Would you like to buy a plane?
How about 10?
No - not a giant multi million dollar pilot.
I’m talking about one of these bad boys.

Recently met a 23 who buys and leases planes to flight schools - making $30k a year per plane.
Business model is super interesting, he buys planes, and then leases them to flight schools to generate cashflow like real estate, but without the hassle of tenets and stuff breaking in the home, etc.
Here’s the breakdown:
Use Case: Flight school leases it full-time (they handle maintenance, fuel, insurance, hangar)
Cash Flow: ~$2,500 NET/month per plane (contracted minimum)
Leverage: Finance ~65% @ 6-8% interest
Returns: Projected IRR = 22%+ (Goldman comps)
Tax Play: Bonus depreciation-wipe out active income in Year 1
Exit: Sell plane or keep as a cash-flowing asset
Upfront Capital Needed: ~$35K-$45K
Setup Fee: $2.5K (LLC, lease contracts, sourcing, etc.)
I met him because he joined 8AM World - and after our intro 1-on-1 call with me this week to show how it works, by the end, I was texting friends: “Yo. Do you want to buy a plane?” 😆
Friends have been like wtf. But when I explain that they cost like $100k or so and all you need is $30K down, depreciate the rest to wipe out active income, and cashflow $2500 a month… it clicks for them. Run a cash-flowing business, take profits and buy a fleet of these, and yeah - eventually you probably can buy one of the big boy planes.
So yeah, A - i thought i’d let you know about this. Just a cool idea. If you’re interested i can connect you if you DM on instagram. And B this is just the type of mind inside 8AM World. Creative & practical. Click here to apply.
Logan didn’t come here looking for a blueprint to scale some copy paste business. He wanted the energy, vibes, ideas and connections that he knew that 8AM can provide. He was looking for conversations that validate big ideas like this instead of diluting them.
Short one - but hope this sparks something for you today!
