This is How I Talk to God... 😅 *actually*

This one might get a little weird. But the good kind of weird.

I used to be a scholar of atheism.

At 18, I could quote every Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchens, and Richard Dawkins argument like it was gospel. These guys were like the avengers of calling religion stupid. I was reading Ayn Rand, arguing with religious kids in dorm rooms, and rolling my eyes at anyone who believed in anything invisible.

And yet — here I am, 10 years later, writing you from a cabin in Cape Cod, surrounded by trees, buds, marshland, light...

Talking to God.

Literally.

Like, actually. 😆

It’s been a wild ride to get here.

When I was 8, I started hebrew school. I f*king hated it. I was there with my best friend and we just screwed around the whole time. But like really badly - One time on Friday night Shabbat service, my friend Sam and I left the service to go to the bathroom and peed all over the walls (sorry God).

And in the last 2 years, I became an avid member at Lake Shrine temple in Pacific Palisades (rip)… and read scripture daily, pray daily, and yes, talk to God. Each and every moment of the day.

I’m actually always talking to God even as I write this.

I’ve studied Hasidic jews in Jerusalem, Islamic sufism and read the full gambit of course of modern day teachers like Eckhart Tolle and Michael Singer.

And it’s all become clear to me that there’s really only just one path.

One source communicated in many different languages.

At some point I realized:
Whatever religion you choose isn’t that important.
The thing that matters is simply - Alignment.

Because here’s the truth most people avoid: You can talk to God.
Like, actually communicate with the animating, intelligent, loving force that created this entire reality.

But there’s a catch…

You have to live right first.

Yes, there’s an actual reason there are so many rules in the bible and quran and Yamas and Niyamas in the hindu scriptures.

If you’re cheating on people, lying to yourself, stealing energy or time or love, filling your mind with sugary junk food, skipping workouts when you know you should go…
If your mind is fogged with lust, casual sex, porn, greed, jealousy…

…You won’t be able to hear God.

You’ll be stuck in your own mental loop, focused on those frequencies.

To hear God, you have to clear the channel.

Live clean.
Eat clean.
Surround yourself with people who also are clean and clear and love God, who want to build heaven on Earth.

(That’s what I’m building with 8AM World btw)

Once you’re aligned, it’s simple.

1. You shower in the morning to wash off the sweat.

2. You sit down with a straight spine. Exhale all the CO2 out of the lungs (excess CO2 causes restlessness, inability to sit still because your blood won’t be regulated.)

3. You place your eyes slightly upward, toward the spiritual eye (the Christ center)

4. You breathe and you pray.

Out loud.
Or in silence.
But real.

5. "Dear God, reveal yourself to me."
   Say it like you mean it.
   Say it until something shifts.

You probably won’t hear a booming voice.
(Although some people do… if that’s you, DM me, teach me lol haaaha.)

But you will feel something.

God first presents Himself to you as a presence of joy and peace. And a clarity in the chest and entire body system.

The kind of clarity that no funnel or podcast or “10X morning routine” could ever give you.

Because true God contact is NOT about productivity. It’s simply about humbling yourself at the footsteps of the creator of the universe.

And God will give you instructions, he’ll make it very clear what the move he wants you to make is. Sometimes that move might be scary.

You ever feel like, “fuck i know i need to do that but man it’s scary”.

That’s God showing you the path. And guess what if you do follow it, you will survive.

And that’s what we’re practicing at 8AM World.
