I’m 29 today.
The first thing that comes to mind when I think about that is that 2 plus 9 is 11. So I'm an 11 life path.
12/10/1996 - 1 + 2 + 1 + 0 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 6 = 29 = 2 + 9 = 11
And it's an 11 year because of my age. Does this mean anything? Apparently to some people it does. To me, I don’t know, but that's the first thing that came to mind.
Last night, as you know, I was typing from the sky. I landed in Boston around 7 PM and took a car to Cape Cod to visit my parents. Spending my birthday and the next couple of weeks with family over the holidays.
This AM, my dad gifted me a Tibetan prayer ring.
You're apparently supposed to wear it meditating.
It's pretty cool.

It’s inscribed with “Om Mane Padmi Hum”.
The direct translation is loosely - “The Jewel is in the Lotus”
Which - if you’re at least somewhat tapped in - you should be able to know that this means that the fruits of life and everything you want can be found inwardly. And the path to get there is through looking inward through meditation.
Lotus posture obviously being the way you sit to neutralize the breath and sense movement and thoughts, the jewel being the light of love, peace, and heaven.
Every time you touch the ring, it’s a reminder that the things you’re looking for externally are inside of you.
The goal of life is to have that concept as a constant remembrance. We of course tend to direct our focus outward through our eyes - so it’s easy to forget. So it’s good to have these reminders.
People normally do ‘29 lessons for my 29th birthday’
I’ll save you the time & difficulty of remembering and applying 29 lessons.
Just apply this one please.
The Jewel is in the Lotus.
Chloe told me that my gifts have not arrived yet.
I tell her every year that I don't need gifts, or that she's the gift.
But gifts are her love language so she likes to give them.
My mom is very excited that she has people coming today to sweep up all the leaves from the yard.
It's Fall time, heading into winter here on the Cape. And so the trees are barren. The air is crisp 19 degrees F (-7 C) and there are crispy brown leaves everywhere. Slight breeze in the air.
I'm looking outside at the Buddha statue in my parents' garden.
I'll probably check a bunch of messages from friends and you guys later. I appreciate all the birthday wishes. And then I'll probably do a little creative work. Go for a walk on the beach. Do some reading later. And then we have a dinner reservation at one of my favorite restaurants in town.
Looking up at the sky, the clouds are moving pretty swiftly. The sky is blue and the clouds are very bright white. Looks a lot like one of my mom's paintings.
Talk soon.
