Truth I Wish I Knew at 18
Hey there,
I just recently had one of those conversations that leaves you staring at the ceiling at 2 AM, questioning everything you thought you knew about faith, morality, and what it means to be human.
I went from memorizing arguments against religion in college to having a profound relationship with Jesus. From believing all religious people were "obviously stupid" to surrendering my will to God in prayer every morning, and then creating a music album about my Faith.

We dove deep into:
Why I saw religious people as "the cause of pretty much all problems" and what changed my mind
The difference between Judaism, Islam, and Christianity from someone who's experienced all three firsthand (me)
Whether selfishness is actually a virtue, and was Jesus actually selfish?
My vision board philosophy and why I stopped chasing external things to find peace
The power of surrender—and how one prayer brought my life partner to me within a week
My wild plans for a week-long experience in Bali with monks and entrepreneurs on a 200-foot cliff
This conversation challenged both of our beliefs in the best way possible. It's the kind of discussion that doesn't give you easy answers—it gives you better questions.
Whether you're deeply religious, questioning everything, or somewhere in between, I promise this episode will make you think differently about faith, human nature, and the invisible forces that shape our moral compass.
Some moments just hit different on video.
Talk soon, Arlin
P.S. If you've been on your own journey with faith—whether toward it, away from it, or circling around it—I'd love to hear about it. Message me on instagram. I read & respond to 80% of DMs.
